Today's Spot Hearts deal

Every player in the world gets the exact same Spot deal today (August 9, 2026). Spot Hearts turns the volume up on every heart in the deck. You play one hand against West, North and East - passing included, and it's the same for everyone. This variant is rated High stakes, big swings, and each hand deals out 129 penalty points - so a good daily result is about smart passing and careful play, with speed only breaking ties.

Today's tip: Rank your hearts by cost, not just by rank - saving 10 points by throwing the ace of hearts instead of the 4 is worth almost half a classic hand. For the full playbook, see the Spot strategy guide.

How the daily challenge works

The daily challenge turns Hearts into a perfectly fair contest. Everyone in the world gets the exact same deal, built from today's date - the same cards, the same pass, and the same three AI opponents. So a low score isn't just low, it's low on the same hand everyone else is playing. Here's the short version:

  1. A fresh deal is generated at midnight UTC and is identical for every player.
  2. You play one hand. The fewest penalty points tops the board; ties are broken by the faster time.
  3. Come back tomorrow for a brand-new deal - miss a day and that hand is gone for good.
  4. Signed-in players keep a permanent name and build a streak; guests can post a display name too.

Tips for a low daily score

  • Pass your high spades. An unguarded Ace or King of Spades can force you to win the very trick that carries the 13-point queen.
  • Count the hearts. There are 13 out there, worth 1 point each - knowing how many are gone tells you when it's safe to win a trick.
  • Watch for the queen. Until the Queen of Spades hits the table, treat every high card you play as a risk.
  • Warm up on a regular game first: try Spot Hearts or read the rules.

Daily challenge FAQ

How is the daily deal chosen?

It is generated automatically from today's date, so every player in the world gets the exact same cards, the same pass, and the same three AI opponents. Nobody gets an easier hand.

When does the daily challenge reset?

A brand-new deal appears at midnight UTC. Once a day passes, that deal is gone for good, which is what makes a streak worth protecting.

Do I need an account for the daily challenge?

No. You can play and post a score as a guest. Signing in with a free account keeps a permanent name and builds your streak across devices.

How are daily scores ranked?

You play one hand, and the fewest penalty points wins - each heart costs 1 point and the Queen of Spades costs 13. Ties are broken by the faster finish time, so dodge points first and hurry second.
